The privately-operated public car park (foreground) has closed. The sign shows that Phase 1 has been sold. The agent’s website records that the development will include “18 spacious c. 1100 ft2 and c. 1200 ft2 apartments Stylish landscaped entrance Internal glazed atrium”. The railway station J3979 : Holywood station, Northern Ireland Railways is close by (middle right) reached by a subway under the bypass.

A vacant site, beside the bypass, which has the following planning permission (4 January 2016) “LA06/2015/0074/F Development of 18 No. Apartments above 500sqm Retail Unit and private parking Vacant Land at Marine Parade/Shore Road junction Holywood”.
