Seen here 'between trains'. The booking office and shop is to the right. It was built when the Vale of Rheidol Railway was privatised in the late 1980s. Prior to that, tickets were sold from the 'main line' booking office. The platform area now used by the Vale of Rheidol Railway was used for trains to Carmarthen until the 1960s, the Vale of Rheidol terminus then being outside of the mainline station.
