Cardington lock on the Great Ouse 2005
Taken in 2005 on a trip with the folks stopping in at places from my childhood. Cardington lock is the narrowest lock on the Great Ouse, it has to sections chiseled out of the concrete coating near the downstream door. This was done by the workers restoring the lock in the late 70's, after a conversation with my father and my uncle, to make it wide enough for 10ft 4" beam boats.
