Miniature chalk quarry, Wessex Ridgeway, near Stert
Viewed from over a gate facing north. This small area is, I assume, used as a source of chalk. Maybe it is used for making quicklime. It is about 40 metres long and 12 wide. The far end (in shadow) is in the next square north.
