Aird Snout and the Giant's Causeway
Aird Snout and the Giant's Causeway
This photo shows the Giant's Causeway with Aird Snout in the distance. This causeway is steeped in myth and legend, and carved from the coast by the mighty giant, Finn McCool. It passed to the National Trust in 1961 and opened to the public a year later. Subsequently in 1986, it was designated as a World Heritage Site then in the year 2000, it was recognised as an Area of Special Scientific Interest.
