NY4348 : Organ in St Mary's Church

taken 7 years ago, near to Wreay, Cumbria, England

Organ in St Mary's Church
Organ in St Mary's Church
This small two-manual instrument with its diapered front was built by Wilkinson of Kendal and has been moved several times. A plaque records that it was originally presented to Storth Church in the 1950s by a Ruth Ramsbotham - but it looks much older than that. Storth is a village on the Kent estuary in south Cumbria (Westmorland) and the church there, originally built as a Methodist chapel, is now shared with the Church of England SD4779 : Storth Methodist Church.
