Enormous lugworm casts on Traeth Mawr
Enormous lugworm casts on Traeth Mawr
I have never seen lugworm casts of such a size, each one resembling a cone of coiled spaghetti freshly heaped along the strand line. Enquiry revealed that during cold weather (and it has been) the worms sink deeper into the sand with the result that their casts are bigger.
