NT2586 : Alexander's accident spot

taken 7 years ago, near to Pettycur, Fife, Scotland

Alexander's accident spot
Alexander's accident spot
This memorial marks the spot where tradition has it that Alexander III, the last Celtic King of Scotland, was killed when he fell down a cliff from horseback on a wild and stormy night. Some contemporary reports rather dispute that story.
