The central path westward from the dipping pool in the centre of the garden. The garden is described under the listed building description for Packwood House at Link - see the last paragraph of description towards the foot of the page. One of the "arched timber doors ... set in the north, west and south walls" can be seen.
As with several other photos, in the background are the former stables Link , not accessible to the public. The main house can be seen as well.
This wrought-iron gate leads from the topiary garden to the house, and the alcove in the wall to its right is one of several that used to shelter straw bee-hives (aka skeps).
