SJ2927 : Weston Mill, Morda

taken 17 years ago, near to Morda, Shropshire, England

Weston Mill, Morda
Weston Mill, Morda
Originally built as a woollen mill, Weston Mill was re-equipped to grind corn in about 1850. It still retains magnificent cast-iron machinery and four pairs of millstones, together with a large waterwheel. Unfortunately it is soon to be converted into a house, which will inevitably damage its special atmosphere.
