taken 7 years ago, near to Clapham, West Sussex, England

Iron Age Fort, Highdown Hill
Iron Age Fort, Highdown Hill
Dating back to the Iron Age and though it had been abandoned by Roman times it was reused towards the end of their occupation of Britain. Highdown Hill also contains the remains of a Roman bath house and an early Saxon burial ground. The trees within the former enclosure were planted in the 19th century.
