Loch an Dobhráin
Loch an Dobhráin
This small lake is situated in the Connemara region referred to as Cois Fharraige (Gaelic: Beside the Sea). The lake is 4 km inland in a region called Baile na hAbhann Thuaidh (Gaelic: North Riverstown). Unlike several other lakes in the vicinity, Loch an Dobhráin has a rising landscape above its eastern shore, making it more picturesque. A 140 m hill lies NNE of the lake. The name of the lake translates as Otter Lake. Panorama Scan: LinkExternal link
