Avoca River [2]
Avoca River [2]
The mouth of the Avoca River forms Arklow Harbour. The harbour has sandy beaches to the north and south, an unpredictable bar which can move without warning and only about a metre variation between high and low water. Seen here from South Quay looking upstream to the magnificent 19 arch stone bridge. The bridge was built circa 1755 and is listed with details at: LinkExternal link
