Cadgwith Schists Slates and Granite
The bay at Cadgwith Cornwall is a treasure of interface blue slate and hornblende schistose rocks with granite at the south side. Access to the schist zone detail is easy across fishing boat chains warned by the local fishing crews as to stability. The beach is littered with colour of the pebbles local to the geologic zones. The descriptions may be found in Cornwall Geology SW BGS. The geomorphology Coastal geomorphology hard rock and sediments, beach berm and dynamic nature with the stream outlet and groundwater sources soil erosion. A Haven for artists with a camera and canvas temporary Sculpture intentions in pebble structures. Fault rift.
