Nine Chimneys House
Nine Chimneys House
At the end of the eponymous Nine Chimneys Lane; Simon Bradley, in his revision of Pevsner's guide, comments on the thinness of the timbering and tells us that this is the surviving south cross-wing of the large house built around 1583 for Thomas Sutton, Master of the Ordnance to Queen Elizabeth I and founder of the London Charterhouse.
