This exposure of metamorphosed Lower Carboniferous Limestone on the lower slopes of Slieve Foye lies next to the Táin Way. It is located in the contact zone between the Carboniferous rocks of the coastal lowlands and the gabbro and microgranite of the Carlingford Igneous Complex. The rock face on the extreme left are composed of Silurian metasediments
