A former Maxol petrol station, long closed and, in recent times, used as a car wash. The site had the following planning permission (10 October 2012) “W/2007/0901/F Mixed use development comprising of 2 No ground floor retail units and 8 no. 2 bedroom apartments (amended plans submitted showing addition of boundary fence) Adjacent to 397a Old Holywood Road, Belfast [sic]”.

There is the following planning permission (25 March 2019) “LA06/2018/0742/F Demolition of former petrol filling station, retail unit and canopy for redevelopment for Nos 18 x 2 bedroom apartments for social housing, including associated car parking, landscaping and all other ancillary site works.(Amended plans) Former petrol filling station at 375 Old Holywood Road Holywood BT18 9QR”.
