The mountains in the background are the Western Mournes of Co Down. A late October cut of hay lies in the field waiting to be baled. In Ireland the hay and the silage season usually starts in May with the final cut at the end of August or start of September. But the mild weather of the past few weeks has seen continued good growth and the prospect of an aditional crop of hay/silage.
