Aurora Borealis, Bangor
Aurora Borealis, Bangor
A view (with a very wide angle lens) of the Aurora Borealis over rooftops from Bangor, County Down. The lens makes the effect appear as a thin curved band over the northerly horizon with Ursa Major LinkExternal link above. The effects have been heightened by a long exposure but, even with local light pollution and a bright waning moon in the east, the aurora was visible to the naked eye.
