One of two new “welcome” signs provided as part of an extensive programme of environmental improvements. This one is on the south western side of Sullivan Place as it meets the bypass (Old Holywood Road on the Google map).

The Holywood bypass

A stretch of road opened in 1972 (and then called the Holywood through pass), on the Belfast – Bangor road, from near Palace Barracks to the Croft Road.
