The Wesleyan Methodists built a chapel in Park Road in 1804. It was largely rebuilt in 1904 and, as Sproatley Methodist Church, is still in use in 2014.

Outside the church is one of the 'iconic' K6 cast-iron telephone kiosks designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in 1935. The boxes are without the royal crown and are cream-painted, being unique to the former Hull Corporation Telephone Department. Further information: LinkExternal link
