Leighton Reservoir
Leighton Reservoir
The reservoir has become part of the landscape in the hundred years or so since the valley was flooded, with Leeds Corporation responsible for the construction of Leighton, whilst Harrogate borough constructed Roundhill a little further up the valley. Leighton is now used as a compensation reservoir to maintain river levels in the Ure.
