The neat and tidy Alms houses of St Anne's Hospital
These are a group of almshouses which provided accommodation for thirteen widows. these houses are still occupied today and are beautifully maintained as you can see. An almshouse is a house endowed to the poor or infirm from a private charity. They are often referred to as "poor houses".
