South Tynedale railway workshop
Seen in the clean workshop is ex Harrogate Gas Works steam locomotive Barber. This is an o-6-2ST built in 1908 by Thomas Green of Leeds as No. 441. It is thought to be the only Thomas Green locomotive in the northern hemisphere although there may be another 3-4 below the equator. This had been seen earlier in the Year at Statfold Engineering where it had received some attention. I had hoped to see live steam here but had to be contented with a diesel hauled journey.
