SK2680 : An 'Oh dear me' stone ..

taken 6 years ago, 3 km from Nether Padley, Derbyshire, England

An 'Oh dear me' stone ..
An 'Oh dear me' stone ..
A lot of work must have gone into the creation of this large trough near the Burbage Edge gritstone quarries. Then something caused the fracture running from left to right and top to bottom. Perhaps causing the maker to say 'Oh, dear me'. Or perhaps something more colourful!
