See J3474 : Donegall Quay, Belfast (1990). The Belfast – Heysham route closed in 1975. In 1984 it re-opened as a freight-only service using the chartered “Stena Sailer” (not “Sailor”). The service now operates from the Victoria Terminal, near the mouth of the harbour, using three ferries. A collection of photographs showing the building of the Lagan weir and the cross-harbour road and railway bridges in the early 1990’s. There are also some earlier shots of the pre-impounding River Lagan, of Donegall and Queen’s Quays, the Abercorn Basin and of the immediate area before demolition.
