Disused WWII Pillbox on the boundary of the Slieve Donard Hotel
The gentle sloping beaches of Dundrum Bay were considered ideal landing places for both sea-borne and glider carried enemy troops and were defended with pillboxes and anti-glider obstacles. Fortunately, these defences were never put to the test.
