Seen from the garden is the west library wing of circa 1907.
This magnificent manor house was commenced circa 1557 with additions and alterations in 1601 and circa 1730 and with a major rebuild and much restoration from circa 1907. The house is on or near the site of a Benedictine cell of St Georges de Boscherville, founded in 1114, fragments of which have been built into the present fabric.
