taken 7 years ago, near to Belfast, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland
A vacant site (173-175 Newtownards Road and 1 Templemore Avenue), previously the “Avenue One” bar, offered for sale and now (March 2014) with an “agreed” patch of the agents’ board. Described by the agents’ brochure as “Planning Permission was previously granted on 13 September 2006 for the construction of two ground floor retail units and 12 Nr. apartments above on floors 1- 3. This Planning Permission may have expired, however a new application could be made”. The photographs submitted by me appear as a matter of geographical and historical record only. I have no connection with any of the parties involved in the sale.
A long street running from the Castlereagh Road/Beersbridge Road, across the Albertbridge Road to the Newtownards Road It developed over a number of years from the late 19th century. In 1880 it had only three houses.
