The Royal Hotel, Ashby
The Royal Hotel, Ashby
The Royal Hotel, Grade II* listed and built in 1826, closed in February 2018. It was soon boarded up, and is already looking very deteriorated. The hotel has been in financial difficulty for several years, and it will cost at least £3 million to refurbish. The rear area, previously containing gardens and a tennis court, is completely ruined and derelict. The rest of the hotel is sure to follow.
