Stained glass in Dukinfield Old Chapel

The three inner panels of the West window formed part of the Chapel front in 1865 before its extension in 1893. The centre panel depicting the Crucifixion was donated by David Harrison. The one on the left showing Jesus blessing the children was given by Henry Bayley. James Ogden gave the one on the right showing the healing of blind Bartimaeus. The windows were made by F Commere and J B Capronnier of Brussels.
Old Chapel, Dukinfield

The first Unitarian Chapel, built here in 1707, was irreparably damaged by a storm in 1839. Stones from the old chapel were used as the foundations for the present building which was opened on 26th August 1840. It is Grade II* listed LinkExternal link
