Cwmorthin Cottage
Cwmorthin Cottage
Old buildings below the slate quarry tips are conserved, and can be seen under repair by reference to older images of this scene. The name is taken from the 1901 six-inch OS Map, which together with its 1888 predecessor is a mine of information in this area which has been re-modelled by more recent working. The trees are uncharacteristic for the area, and include a magnificent Monkey-puzzle.
