Construction at the Stock Exchange
On the corner of Norfolk Street and Sussex Street is the grade II listed building
Link which was built in 1907 by Bradshaw, Gass and Hope as the Northern Stock Exchange. It closed in 2000 and was converted into a restaurant
SJ8498 : Norfolk Street. It was later bought by Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs who plan to convert it into a boutique hotel. In the winter of 2015/16 the building was occupied by squatters who received the blessing of the owner. Renovation work is now continuing and the bottom end of Norfolk Street is blocked off.
