taken 6 years ago, near to Romiley, Stockport, England

Exit from Romiley Station
Exit from Romiley Station

One of the ways out of Romiley Station is down a ramp from platform one on to Stockport Road opposite the Romiley Arms.
Romiley railway station

Opened in 1862 by the Manchester Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway, access to the two platforms is by steps from Stockport road, as the station is adjacent to the bridge over that road, immediately to the east. Immediately to the west is Romiley Junction.

Romiley is currently served by hourly trains from Manchester to Sheffield as well as all-stations local services to Marple, and to Rose Hill (running from Manchester via Guide Bridge).
