taken 6 years ago, near to Etchingham, East Sussex, England

Former Spillway, Site of Etchingham Forge
Former Spillway, Site of Etchingham Forge
Looking southwards towards a culvert under the railway. The stream, which appears to have been man-made, was once part of the water system used to operate Etchingham Forge providing a spillway for extra water to power the forge. It also originally ran through to Hammer Dike.
