The new student accommodation, now open to view, following removal of its scaffolding, seen from College Square East. Described by Queen’s University as “Located just 15 minutes from Queen’s main campus (0.9mi), you’ll be neighbours with the vibrant city-centre nightlife, popular restaurants and local supermarkets. You will be nestled in the middle of a fantastic coffee culture featuring some of Belfast's most popular independent coffee shops. Local grocery stores Spar, Centra and Tesco Express will also be on your doorstep, and Victoria Square (0.5mi), one of the city’s main retail hubs, is just a 10-minute stroll away”. Progressive House J3374 : Progressive House, Belfast is on the right.
The development has transformed the area from the days when the site was vacant J3374 : College Street development site, Belfast (2013) (January 2013). A side benefit is that the building now re-joins King Street to the city centre.

Planning applications have been submitted to develop an 804-room scheme in a 240,000 sq ft building on College Avenue, and a 476-room scheme, in a 135,000 sq ft building, on McClintock Street, on the site of the former 10-storey Belfast Metropolitan College building, which is set to be demolished to make way for the new scheme.”
