Hatton Street
Originally Hatton Street ran from Prince's Street all the way to Heaton Norris SJ8990 : Hatton Street. The building of the M63 (now M60) cut it in half. A footbridge was built crossing the motorway with concrete ramps leading up to if from Great Egerton Street. When work started on the Redrock Development, Hatton Street (between Bridgefield Street and Great Egerton Street) was engulfed by the building site SJ8990 : Hatton Street. The bridge over the motorway was closed SJ8990 : Closed footbridge. Work is almost completed and this part of the street is now a pedestrianised area next to the bus stop on Great Egerton Street. It also has a covered area with Sheffield stands for the parking of cycles. The footbridge over the motorway is expected to be reopened in due course.

The Redrock Development LinkExternal link on Bridgefield Street was planned to a create a 10-screen multiplex cinema, 38,000 sq ft of retail and restaurants, a 360-space multi-storey car park and a new public square with external seating.
