Class 334 and Class 320 stand at Helensburgh Central
Helensburgh Central railway station
The station opened in 1856 as the terminus of the Glasgow, Dumbarton and Helensburgh Railway. The present Category B Listed building Link dates from 1898 and was built at the behest of the Board of Trade's Railway Department who considered the original station to be too small.
The station is fairly grand, as befits an affluent town such as Helensburgh.
Extensive and well maintained floral displays add to the character of the station.
