The boots stand over twice the height of an average person. The sculpture was commissioned for the gardens from local Sculptor Pete Doney, who works at Grimston Bar near York.
The construction is of glass fibre, and the outer layer is impregnated with bronze powder.
To the right is a small pagoda style shelter with a seat in it. The path leads towards the Rose Garden.
Breezy Knees Gardens

Breezy Knees is a fairly new garden, about 5 miles east of York near the village of Warthill. It occupies about 20 acres, divided up into a series of separate gardens each with an individual theme.
Development started in the late 1990s when belts of trees were planted in former farmland to create windbreaks. Planting of the gardens started about 6 or 7 years later.
The planting is almost entirely of perennial plants. Much of the work is carried out by part-time gardeners so they only have the equivalent of 2 full-time gardeners.
The gardens are open from the beginning of May to the end of September (in 2018), see their website for details and prices - LinkExternal link
