SK6585 : Protectors at the gate

taken 6 years ago, near to Torworth, Nottinghamshire, England

Protectors at the gate
Protectors at the gate
Of iGas's exploratory shale gas hydraulic fracturing (fracking) site. A "lock-on" of two protectors is in progress. The police removal team is yet to arrive.

"Protector" is a self-identified term for anti-fracking campaigners. A pun on Protester to indicate that the action is to protect the local and global environment from an exceedingly destructive exploitative industry.
