Ireland in Ruins: Dunsandle House, Co. Galway (1)
The ivy clad ruin of Dunsandle House stands forlorn and neglected in the countryside between Athenry and Loughrea. It was built for the Daly family in c.1780 whose occupant in the early C19 was Denis Daly, the MP for Galway. The house was sold in 1954, and was largely demolished in 1958.
