In 1855 Limepark House was in the possession of George Persse, and earlier in the C19 was occupied by Thomas Wilton. In 1837 it was recorded that it was the seat of the Wallace family. The property is well known for its association with the 1916 Easter Rising, when a large gathering of rebels assembled here.
