Bandon (Irish: Droichead na Bandan) is a town in County Cork. The name in Irish means “Bridge of the Bandon”, a reference to the origin of the town as a crossing-point on the River Bandon. The town’s population was recorded as 6,957 at the 2016 census (LinkExternal link Central Statistics Office).
The N71 Road in Ireland

The N71 is a national secondary road running for 184 km (116 miles) from the outskirts of Cork City to Killarney in County Kerry. The road is mostly relatively poor single carriageway, with better sections towards the Cork end of the route.
