The nave of the former St Philip and St James church which was the parish church of the new university dons' suburb of North Oxford and closed in 1983. The building was purchased by the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies and was open to visitors for Open Doors Weekend. G E Street designed the church, one of two large suburban churches he supervised as architect to the Oxford Diocese, the other being SU8780 : All Saints, Boyn Hill, Maidenhead.
