Railway Arches
There are only 2 railway bridges that cross the tidal section of the River Clyde, one leading to the terminus at Glasgow Central, and this one - often ignored - as it carries no scheduled passenger traffic. Important nonetheless, as it is the city's only rail artery capable of connecting lines north and south of the river. The tower in the distance is the Briggait' (Bridgegate). Historically, this bridge was built by the CGU, the City of Glasgow Union Railway.
