The Village Pond at Aldbury has been drained
The Village Pond at Aldbury has been drained
As all the vegetation around the edge has been removed I assume this is part of the process of cleaning the pond, rather than just the effect of a very hot summer.
I notice that there is also a new footing around the stocks so perhaps it is part of a plan to improve the area, which is a local tourist attraction.
