In the garden at Standen
Philip Webb designed Standen for James and Margaret Beale. The house is one of the finest examples of Arts and Crafts workmanship, with Morris & Co. interiors. Work finished on the house in 1894, at a cost of £18,065, and the Beales moved in shortly afterwards. A full history can be seen at LinkExternal link

The gardens at Standen are also full of variety.
