Opened in 1929 on the Great Western Railway's line from Swindon to Stroud, this halt closed in 1964. Four years later, the line was singled. In 2013 it was redoubled.
View south east towards Minety and Swindon from the same position as SU0093 : Oaksey Halt railway station (site), Wiltshire, 2010. As can be seen, all trace of the halt has now been removed during the redoubling.
