Bomb Store platform No. 1

Close-up of the front of the platform with its trammelling rings inset into the wall. Ropes tied to them would be looped around the bombs and then 'trammelled' off the lorry onto the platform slope ready for fuzing and the attachment of fins. Tractor towed bomb trolleys assembled on the bomb store's own perimeter track on the other side, would then take the completed bombs to the aircraft waiting to be 'bombed up'.
