Knucklas Viaduct
Knucklas Viaduct
The Knucklas Viaduct on the Mid-Wales line. The viaduct which spans the Heyope valley was opened in 1865. It is believed that the incorporation of crenellations into the design was required by the then owner of Knucklas Castle in return for making stone from the ruined castle available for the new construction.
